What do Villas 4 Bikers do?
Villas for bikers can organise motorbikes and accommodation for you and your biking group to southern Spain.
Do We have to fly to Malaga?
Yes, Malaga is the airport you have to fly into for this deal and you will not need a car/minibus as you collect the bikes at the airport. The only reason you may need a car/minibus would be if at night time the lads/ladies wanted to travel further afield in the winter months.
What bikes can I rent?
The bikes presently on offer are the BMW range of the GS 750’S, 850’S and 1250’s.
What is the cost?
The cost depends on the number of bikers travelling, the size of the bikes being rented and how long you are travelling for.
What is the weather like?
The Malaga area gets on average 30 days rain a year mostly in the winter months.
When is the best time of year to travel?
Weather wise from March – June and from September- November is ideal weather for biking with lots of dry days. July and August can be very hot. December, January and into February can be cool in the mountains and we would recommend that you add an extra layer of clothing.
What licence is required?
A full A motorbike licence is required.
Where do we get the bikes?
All my customers, to date have been met at the airport by the agent with the bikes.
Will we have lots of paperwork to fill out before getting the bikes?
The agent will already have all the drivers details, from everyone’s driving licence copies of which you will have forwarded to me beforehand. He confirms the details by visual inspection of said licence. This speeds up the whole rental process.
Is there a mileage limit per day?
No mileage limit applies.
What is the situation with the insurance?
The bike is covered by insurance but there is an excess in the event of damage depending on which bike you rent. To cover this, each driver has to produce a credit card and sign for the bike, so if in the event of the bike being dropped and damage being caused to the bike the driver is caught for the excess as with all vehicle hire.
What if it is only minor damage?
There have been incidents in the past where bikes have been dropped and minor damage was caused eg mirrors broken, indicators broken etc and when the customer returned the bike they paid the agent for the damage caused and that finalised the matter.
What if the bike is damaged before I get to drive it?
After doing the paperwork, you go outside to the bikes where you inspect the bikes and point out any damage you see to the agent and mark it on the hire document.
What can I do with my luggage bag(s)?
You can change into your bike gear and any luggage bags you don’t need you can give to the agent who will hold onto them until the day you are returning. All bikes have side panniers and top box.
Do I need to bring a helmet?
Although the agent has helmets, I advise everyone to bring their own.
Are there any other costs involved?
No, unless you want to hire GPS, the agent has GPS available at a small extra cost per day. All you need is money for your fuel, food & drink and anything else you want to purchase.
Are there restaurants etc. local to the villa?
The local village you can see from the villa and is only 3/4 minute ride away, about 15 minutes walk by a short cut. There is an English bar/restaurant and a Spanish bar at the end of the estate, 5 minute walk, and there are bars and restaurants/cafes in the local village. There are other local villages only a short drive away. There are about 8 to 10 good quality restaurants/bars all within 15 minutes walk of the villa.
What is the local area like?
You are about 15/20 drive to the nearest seaside town of Torre Del Mar, but you can drive up and down the motorway and slip off to local villages along the coast. My preference is going inland up to the villages in the mountains to have the best of both worlds, in roads, scenery, relaxing with a coffee overlooking beautiful views etc. etc.!!
